Our Story.

Our Story.

We are a team of mechanical engineers from top schools, inspired by the dream of building the next generation of robots and life-saving medical devices.

However, along the way, we became burnt out by endless tedious and manual work. Deep down, we knew it shouldn’t be this way.

We believe that AI won't replace Mechanical Engineers, but AI-empowered Mechanical Engineers will replace those who aren't.

Our goal is to transform the entire product design process into an AI-centric one, where Leo serves as a natural extension of the engineer’s mind, turning ideas into products faster than ever before.

How we do it.

Leo is the world’s first engineering design co-pilot. Our deep-learning researchers are building the world’s first Large Mechanical Model (LMM), the proprietary foundational model at the core of Leo. Just as LLMs use words as tokens and are trained to combine them into coherent text, Leo was trained on a dataset of millions of man-made products and uses machine parts as tokens (bolts, bearings, etc.), combining them into DFMA-compliant products.

Our LMM can incorporate multi-modal engineering input, such as textual descriptions of engineering questions or product requirements, hand-drawn sketches, 2D images, and 3D CAD files. It understands the functionality the engineer envisions while acknowledging engineering and physical constraints.

Leo is your ultimate engineering partner, equipped with domain-specific capabilities to relieve you of tedious work such as drafting design concepts, answering technical questions, finding parts in the PLM or vendor websites, and collaborating with fellow engineers. All seamlessly integrated into your CAD editor, Leo is here to make your work radically more efficient and joyful.
